Body Building Naturally
Body Building - Getting Big without Steroids
Far too many individuals end up burning out whenever they are at the
gym and it doesn't take long before the gains begin to slow down and
the long term push takes over. The unfortunate part for many
individuals whenever this time comes is that they get impatient and
decide to take a shortcut in order to build their muscles and to break
free of any plateau that they may be experiencing. The most
common way for them to do this is by taking steroids but for natural
bodybuilders, that is not even an option.
You might be surprised to learn that making small changes in the way
that you eat and work out can make large changes as far as your muscle
gains are concerned. For example, if you have been using the same
routine on a regular basis for an extended period of time, it would be
beneficial for you to change that routine in order to make your body
work a little bit different. Any type of different exercises
going to hit your muscles from a different angle, and that will be
beneficial to your overall gains.
As far as eating is concerned, there really is no substitute for making
sure that you are eating as healthy as possible. The unfortunate
part about this is that many individuals feel that eating healthy
consist of eating chicken breasts and slamming protein shakes all day
long. That really isn't healthy food at all, as a matter of fact
it may be counterproductive to your overall health goals. You can
get just as much protein by drinking a green drink or eating a large
salad with the right type of salad greens. There are also a lot
of beneficial enzymes and proteins in sprouts, something that very few
bodybuilders eat regularly.
It might take a little bit of adjustment on your part in order to put
these new routines into place but the benefits that you are going to
receive will far outweigh any type of strain that you're putting on
yourself in the mean time. Remember, it takes about 30 days for a
new habit to be formed so make sure that you give it enough time to
truly incorporate in your life. By making these small changes and
allowing your body to be as healthy as possible, you will also be
giving it the opportunity to grow.
Types of Foods That Every Bodybuilder Should Be Eating
I know what you are probably thinking, that I am going to be talking
about chicken breast and protein shakes. Although this has helped
many individuals to put on muscle mass, the simple fact of the matter
is that I'm not a person who advocates that type of eating
regularly. It will do in a pinch, but there are actually some
other things that you can be eating which are much more beneficial to
your health and overall growth. Here are 5 of them.
The first thing is raw vegetables, something that very few bodybuilders
eat enough of. Just getting the fiber in your system alone is
going to help to balance your body and make you healthier. What
many people don't realize, however, is that greens actually contain an
enormous amount of protein in its most basic form. It is easily
assimilated by the body and it is alive.
Nuts and seeds are also something that is important to eat on a regular
basis if you are trying to put on muscle mass. The problem is,
bodybuilders feel as if they need to eat these in enormous amounts in
order to get the amount of protein that they need. Nuts and seeds
should make up a maximum of 10% of your daily diet, no more.
Sprouts are something that every bodybuilder should eat
regularly. You can easily sprout any type of grain in your
kitchen with a mason jar and a little bit of water. Once the
sprouts start to grow tails, they become live food and the enzymes are
incredible. Eat them every day and you will notice a difference.
Fruit is also something that needs to be eaten regularly in order to
help the body grow. Not only does it provide you with necessary
carbohydrates, it also has a number of other benefits that can help to
keep the body in balance and growing regularly. Eat fruit two or
three times a day, it tastes great and it builds the body.
Finally, you want to make sure that you are drinking enough water in
order to keep your body fully hydrated. I know that this isn't a
type of food but it is something that falls into the category of things
that go in your mouth. Drink half of your body weight every day
in ounces of water along with some natural sea salt and you will notice
gains quickly.
Can You Get Big on Veggies?
If you are an average natural bodybuilder or if you've been reading
anything about natural bodybuilding, you have probably heard that
nutrition is the most important part of the entire process. The
unfortunate thing is, most of the information that is out there is not
going to give you the truth about what nutrition your body needs in
order to get big and strong. As a matter of fact, much of the
information, or misinformation that is available comes about as a
result of the companies that sponsor that type of media.
For example, almost everybody that talks about natural bodybuilding is
going to say that you should be drinking protein shakes regularly in
order to keep your protein levels up. Some bodybuilders drink
protein in the form of shakes to the tune of hundreds of grahams per
day. They also may be eating chicken breasts with every meal or
tuna straight out of the can in order to get their protein numbers up
even higher. They may be seeing some gains but the unfortunate
thing is that they are not doing their bodies any favors at all.
Protein is important, but the right type of protein is more important.
You might be surprised to learn that you can actually get more protein
from some raw greens than you can from an average chicken
breasts. For example, kale has more grams of protein per serving
than chicken or a protein shake. Not only that, it is alive and
the protein that you're getting is also alive and easily assimilated by
the body. Anytime you take protein into the body, it needs to be
broken down in order to be absorbed. By getting your protein
naturally along with living enzymes, you will give your body what is
necessary in order for it to grow effectively.
Of course, along with eating vegetables in order to get the protein it
is also necessary for you to eat fruit. The sugars that are in
fruit will give you the energy that your body needs in order to get
through a difficult workout or to sustain you through a long
afternoon. Make sure that you keep this balance and eat as much
raw fruits and vegetables that you can handle during the day and you
will see gains in your growth and strength rather quickly.
Build a Healthy Body and Life
Are you interested in building your body, going to the gym on a regular
basis and really getting healthy? You would probably be surprised
with the number of individuals who start out on this path and then fall
short somewhere along the way. The simple fact of the matter is,
unless you're ready to change your life, you're not going to be ready
to change your body and to get in the best shape that you have ever
been in your life. Here is a little bit about changing your
entire life so that you can make the little changes along with it.
The first, and most important aspect for you to keep in mind whenever
it comes to natural bodybuilding is that you're mind needs to be
involved. It takes energy and effort for you to get up off the
couch and to get to the gym on a daily basis, especially if you're used
to sitting and watching TV after a hard days work. It will not
take you more than a week to realize the benefits of going to the gym
and the fact that you will have so much more energy as a result of
it. Ask anybody that exercises regularly and they will tell you
that they get back far more hours in the day because of increased
energy than they put into the time that they go to the gym.
You're also going to have to make changes in the way that you live your
life around the home. A good example of this are the types of
foods that you eat, something that has been holding many of us back
without us even realizing it. One of the reasons why many people
skip going to the gym is because they are simply unable to do so
mentally. Believe it or not, this can be a lack of vitamin B in
the body, as a lack of this could cause anxiety. Eating too much
sugar can also depress an individual and they may be acting on that
depression without even realizing it.
If you allow yourself to get healthy and if you make your mind over so
that you are totally prepared to do anything necessary to get to the
gym regularly, you are taking the first step into a larger world.
Make your determination today to get to the gym and you will begin
noticing differences tomorrow.
